This is one of the better budget DVD recorders at present. It is based on the popular Panasonic E50 but with DVD-RW recording, iLink and coaxial digital audio connections added. Highly recommended. The only drawbacks are that to use Flexible Record you need to use the Timer - not the end of the world but an inconvienance none-the-less. And the unit has no component connections. Apart from that top value at that money

Tempted, very tempted, but still think I'll hold until either the Panny E85 or ToshX32 dip below the 300 mark.

You might have a long wait But then who would have thought HDD/DVDRs would be sub-£350 this time last year?
