Tosh RD XS32: I got an error message?

Hi,

I tried to copy a film from the HDD onto a blank DVD-RW (TDK).

When I introduced the DVD, the tosh informed me that the DVD needed to be mastered.

When I tried to master the DVD I was told that the DVD was protected.

Do you have idea about this issue?

Thanks for your help.

What speed is the disc? For -RW, it only likes 2X.

The disc speed was a X4.

Do you think that this is the reason why the tosh indicated that the disc was protected?

If it is the case, could you also precise what is the best DVD-R and -RW you use with the tosh?

Yes, that is the error you get.

Take a look at this thread
Toshiba XS32 media

For -RW, the TDK "Scratchproof" 2X work well, and are generally regarded as a quality disc.

For -R, I like the Verbatim pastel colours (TY02 dye), either 4X or 8X are fine. But there are others also reported to work well which are cheaper...

You can get these both here
