Toshiba RDXS32 has a maximum of 32 timer slots.

Panasonic range is (I think) around 16 although don't quote me on that!

Never mind... just found it in the fine print on their website - the answer is "no"... guess I shall have to go there in person then... at least it means less chance of the couriers playing touch football with it...

I have had a lot more than that set up at times on my HS2, I thought I read 99 somewhere?

The European manual for the E85 shows 32, so I would think that the E95 would have the same number. My E100 has 32.

You could be right Kenfowler - the E20/E30/HS2 all had 32 timer slots (and you could set more by having it repeat daily/weekly etc). They then went and changed it to 16 slots for the E50 and AFAIK this carried on into their new models: again you can set more by using repeat runs. I'll check my E95 when I get a moment - the Timer isn't something I've ever actually used yet as I have Sky+.

Fair enough - looks like I'm wrong on that then - must have been limited to their standalones as opposed to the HDD combos. As I say it's not a feature I use very often!

I should think that if someone has crippled their capabilities by going for the recorder without the hdd, than 16 will be more than enough slots, considering the limited storage on the media.

I have my hs2 set up to record virtually everything I regularly watch as repeating weekly timer events, to this I add any one off films etc, so I am probably pushing the limit at times if it is 32! In effect this replicates using a pvr as I want to watch programs at my convenience and be able to ignore all the ads.

The only hassle is checking that program times are not altered from one week to another, as although the sky epg is reasonably reliable, I still have to alter the settings in the recorder to match the moving progs.

As an aside, whilst everything else seems reasonably reliable, why is it that the program link is very unreliable on Living tv? This invariably vanishes without warning between one week and the next on the odd series I follow on that channel.
