Panasonic E55 Fast Disc Navigation?

Has anyone found a way to quickly access points in a video recording on the Panasonic E55? At the moment I use FFWD/REW - not great through a 2 hour film. Surely there is a way to goto a specific time by entering the numbers or by selecting a point on a timeline? I can't find it in the manual though!

Insert a 'Marker'. You can then use Skip to get to that point.

If its a DVD-R you've recorded on the E55 the "skip" buttons will move you through in 6 or 7 minute jumps (can't remember exactly), this is quite quick even for a long film.

EDIT: Forgot to mention this only works on a finalised disk.
