SCART/Component Adapter

Question for group:

A friend of mine had a US-made Denon 3800 player sent to him(in Norway), a model which does not have SCART outputs. Of course, he has a SCART TV (no component inputs). What can he do? Is there a fine SCART/component adapter available which will not degrade the picture?
