Toshiba SD480E Query

HI

I have seen the Toshiba SD480e in tesco for £50 which looks good, my dad's dvd player is not working fully and would like to get him a new one.

I have a Sony DVD recorder and record programs for him onto a DVD-RW and finalise them so he can play them then delete and record other programs again, but the dvd player he has is not supposed to play DVD-RW but can after trying the disk about 3 or 4 times which is annoying.

My question is if i record and finalise RW's as i am now can the SD480e play those disks without any problems?

I finalised a DVD-R which was recorded on my DVD recorder and it played the disk first time like any normal DVD it is just the DVD-RW that are the problem.
