Component to Scart issues

I have a Profigold PGV372 RGB Component to SCART cable. I have a Sony DAV-S550 dvd player with component (Y, Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr) output and a sony KV28LS35 television with an RGB enabled Scart socket. However I can not get any picture if I connect the 2 devices using the component to scart cable. I have played with the component output settings but still get no picture.

Does anyone know a reason why I cannot connect the two devices this way with the above mentioned cable?

Does anyone have a Sony DAV-S550 which they have connected to their display using the component out? and if so how?

rgb and Yprpb are not the same thing.

RGB needs R G AND B WITH COMPOSITE SYNC

Your DVD is outputting Y Pr Pb with sync on Y. Completely different format.

Cheers Gordon. After a bit more reading I was starting to realise there maybe a difference Oh well lets just hope I'll be able to get a refund / exchange thec able for a s-video to scart instead
