Hi
Yes, I too have installed the beta. Did it yesterday via the USB method. No problems upgrading.
The workarounds for the analog outs works! Great news!
Although not the most conveniant work around, but still.
I haven't had any problems yet with the upgrade. Of course one has to redo the region free hack (easy) and overall set up. Also note that this turns a PAL oriented player into a NTSC oriented player (defaults to 480p instead of 576p), so make sure your display handles NTSC (which most modern displays do).
Nevertheless, the upgrade is so far worth it as it fixes some issues I had with the player.
All that's left now is the subtitle issue (DivX truncations and SD DVD strikethroughs), and yes, a moving screen saver would be nice instead of the current shutting-down-the-signal implementation...
Cheers
