update denon 3800

Hello,

I used the denon 3800 update from http://www.geocities.com/denon3800/ the following (Denon DVD-3800 Multiregion Firmware (December 2002 - Officially Released by Denon), i dit make de update as explained. But now the player do nothing! I send it to denon for a repair they said that everyting is broken and that the repair cost are above 700,- Euro, they know that i have tryed to do a update, and now i have no garranty! How can this be???
