Question Pioneer 757 audio delay feature

I have seen on the Pioneer website that the 757 has an audio delay feature. Does anyone know if that is a delay to allow lip sync correction or something else. I've looked at the online manual but am having trouble finding out about this.

I'm looking for a player with this feature and notice the Arcam 88+ does but that is more than I want to pay.

Thanks Brendan

I could be wrong, but I think it refers to speaker distance delay for either SACD or DVD-audio or both.

Its more likely to be an Audio Delay to correct Lip Sync when using the Progressive Scan output. Same feature that is on the Arcam DV27 and DV88+.

Worth checking with Pioneer to confirm it.

I think the audio delay feature is just for setting up each speaker delay.

I can confirm the this has to do with setting up the speakers distances. Furthermore, check out the forum reallt well on the 757. In my opinion it is true value for money on quality, features and performance when compared with the Arcam.

any other DVD players with delay?

Are there any other DVD players other than the ARcam that have an audio delay? THe 757 does look good but with a 2011 amp there is no lip sync control.

I am pretty sure that the lip sync soltuion needs to be amp based - to my knowledge the following amps have it:

Denon A1SR, Denon 3803, High end Arcam's have it, Pioneer AX10i

I guess it will start to become an inbuilt feature for most modern amps and hence is only really in the new/highend ones at present...

Mosts DVD players with built in decoders will normally have delay settings for the speakers but I dont think this is quite the same and doesn't solve the issues with plasma lipsync
