| Member | Decent sub £200 upscaler for 32" HD ready TV?
Like a few others I've been holding off HD for a while and after speaking to a local store I'll be holding off a bit longer yet. So as a stop gap I'm thinking of an SD upscaler for my Sharp LC32GA3E. Problems: The Sharp only has DVI, no HDMI at all, it also has 1 component (in use) and a load of scarts (which don't give the greatest picture quality). So firstly will a HDMI-DVI converter be ok? Is there a difference in quality in these, as there seems to be in price! I've read about Denon 1940 being great but having problems with layer changes and a few other minor things. Read Pioneer's DV600AVK is good too, but not seen much on it. What players would people recommend for me to have a look at? Oh, has to be multi region and have either optical or coaxial out too, pref optical. EDIT ------- forget this thread, answered my own questions with a bit more research, apologies Last edited by stephentw; 16-01-2008 at 12:04 AM. Reason: update |
