Setup help please

OK.

I have a 42" Samsung PS42Q96HDX/XEU Version SK01.
My DVD player is the Liteon HD-A740Gx.
Both are connected via component.

Question is, is it worth buying an upscaling DVD player on this setup? I bought the DVD player before I had the TV, hence the choice. I am asking as I have read on here that some TVs upscale for you, so would I be wasting my money?

I am looking at the toshiba SD370 HDMI Black or the Samsung equvilent.

What do you all think. Save my money and wait until at eventually go HD, or go out now to ASDA and pick up the tosh??

Save your money mate, ive got the 50" version of your TV and on mine upscaled looks cr@p, the sammy does a much better job giving a far superior picture
