will pioneer dvd player play divx properly

anyone know if the pioneer model dv-490-s dvd player, play all divx films full screen i own a sony dvd player and although it plays divx some of the files give very small pictures on my tv

In the family we have or had Pioneer 470, 590 (?), 696 and a couple of others I can't remember. They all play divx, xvids properly, no problems....hence I stick to Pioneer 696 is the newest model we we own and the 490 is of the same generation. I'd be confident it will play them properly. what is the res of the file that is playing in a small window out of interest ?

I own a pioneer 575 and that seems to play most stuff in full screen. Though with 4:3 material I seem to get the black borders at either side

H have a 696 and never had any problems playing Divx
