Does anybody know how to disable the Macrovision on the Kiiro X5!!!!!!

Bought the Kiiro X5 multi region, but can the Macrovision be disabled with a hack or is there firmware for it somewhere, or does it need to be chipped.

Any help apprieciated, ta.

this is supposed to be a link to the factory settings menu, but still can't get the menu to work, i am assuming this will enable you to get to the macrovision the same as i had to do with the Yello 800 to disable it.

I take it you have tried over at www.vcdhelp.com ?

if not get over there as they have details of this sort of thing for loads of players, if it isn't there, it probably doesn't exist!

Keene electronics will sell you a macrovision stripper box if you are interested. I have one and it works well.

Cheers

Kiiro usually include the instructions in the box, save yourself some time and hassle, checkout their website (http://www.kiiro.co.uk/cgi-bin/miva....2/merchant.mv+) or phone their technical support line .... +44 (0)870 013 2015

To get into the factory menu where you usually change the setting for macrovision do this on your remote...

1. Eject
2. Setup
3. Play
4. Reverse
5. Forward

Good luck!
