Progressive scan on Sony DVP-NS900V?

The US version of this player offers progressive scan output over component, it seems that the UK one does not. Does anyone know if there is a firmware hack or even a simple hardware mod that enables progressive output on a UK spec machine?

Cheers
Matt

I don't believe so, I had this player for a long time and it was great but it did lack the pogressive output.

Re: Progressive scan on Sony DVP-NS900V?

Thanks Boogie,

It just seems to me that the hardware must be almost identical so this should be possible. I am not afraid of soldering in a few different components if this is needed. Has anyone here got more information on this?
