Any players that upscales other inputs?

Would like to upscale my TiVo and I'm looking for a DVD player or other device that will do the job better than just the LCD I'm getting.

Has to upscale to 1080p though.

I'm quite interested in the Denon upscaling players but I'm not sure if any of them will take an input from something like a TiVo (RGB SCART) and also upscale that input, or if they only upscale the DVD.

Other options? Like an upscaling device that upscales all existing devices? That way I could keep my existing DVD player.

Wow. Cost at least as much as the TV I'm getting! (i.e. £1k+)

Hmm, a bit too steep.

I think that's the point.
To get a dedicated upscaler (one that will hopefully do a better job than the scaler in your LCD) will cost you a lot of money.
Maybe you would be better off letting the LCD do the scaling. Your bank balance certainly will be

Yeah, just would like the best possible, but there are limits to the bank balance

Anyway, got the LCD and upscaling RGB SCART isn't too bad. DVDs certainly look very good (arguably better than my 100Hz Sony WEGA). An upscaling player might be better still.

TiVo however sucks massively upscaled by the TV.

I've got a Lumagen on my pj, but it doesn't seem to work that well with my LCD, My LCD always has to use it's own scaler (won't accept 1366 X 768 from the Lumagen), and you therefore have to either feed it 720p or 1080i, which means using it's own scaler.

The Onkyo DV-SP1000E can upscale CV & SV inputs up tp 1080i over HDMI, but it's expensive.
