| New AV need new setup options
Since purchasing my PS3, I'm one connection over.
My media center has to stay via HDMI since no VGA input. The 360 has to stay connected to component as again no VGA input. The PS3 has to use HDMI for the blu-ray player.
Which leaves my DVD recorder (Ex85) it was connected via HDMI. I can get a switcher for HDMI or component so I can keep the signal progressive. The other option is connecting via RGB scart and the tele deinterlaces to progressive.
Does progressive scan really make the picture quality better on LCDs?
In my set-up lesser quality DVDs, like Friends, actually look better set at 480i than 480p or 720p as the progressive scan actually makes the picture look grainy.
I either pay out for a switcher or a quality RGB scart lead what would you do?
