Best upscaling DVD player for Sony KDL32V2000?

Can someone please help me on this one. I am looking to get an upscaling dvd player for my Sony KDL32V2000 LCD TV. I was looking at the Sony DVPNS92V but have heard there are picture shift problems when using the HDMI connection (which i want to use). Also, the screen wont adjust to wide/smart when on 1080i. Would a change in firmware correct this? I was also looking at the Denon 1920 but apparently there are lip sync problems. Can anyone suggest a top notch dvd player which will give me the best quality without all of these defects?

Re: Best upscaling DVD player for Sony KDL32V2000?

The problem with the DVP-NS76 is that it doesnt have as many features as the one i currently have (DVP-NS955) ie 5.1 channel outputs which I need. Any other suggestions? Hasnt the glitch on the NS92V been sorted out?

Re: Best upscaling DVD player for Sony KDL32V2000?

I went to a shop today to buy Sony DVP-NS76H and they told me that an updated version is coming next week called DVP-NS76E and that the price will be 20 euro less!
Does anyone know the difference between the two?

These all fit into the "top notch" category:

Arcam FMJ DV139: £1800 (out very soon)
Arcam DV137: £1250
Denon DVD-3930: £1000
Denon DVD-2930: £600

In the good but not overly expensive bracket the Pioneer 696 for about £120 is an excellent player. It upscales over HDMI
