Denon 3910 and Pio AX10Ai .... i.link issue

Hi Guys

I have connected my Denon 3910 to Pio AX10Ai using the free i.link cable that came along with Denon. After a few days, the connection started to disappear..i mean both amp and player started displaying "Link check" message on screen. I switched off everything, unplugged and replugged i.link cable...and bingo..connection was on again. this has happened a many times so far and then somebody suggested that it was due to the cheap cable. I bought a new IXOS XDF01-200 cable, but the problem seem to have gotten worse.

Guys any idea what might be wrong here? should i try a different cable like QED etc? any help is highly appreciated

Thanks
AK
