Mem Card slot on the HDMI DVD player from Aldi

Hi all, I have just bought this DVD player from Aldi. I have read on this forum that you can add a USB connection to the back of the DVD player which is something I am not confident in doing. I also read that the mem card reader can play movie files via a SD card. Is this true and if so is it just a question of putting the mem card in and choosing the file or do you need to do some sort of upgrade. Also if you have tryed this is the PQ the same as if you was watching it from a DVD?

I would obviously try it but I do not have a mem card and didn't want to shell out on a 1 gig card if it doesn't work.

Many thanks for you help.

it works fine, there's a button on the remote that says card/dvd, you just put a card in press it then chose the file you want to play, the picture quality depends on the resolution recorded on the card
