HDMI splitter

Hi,

My upscaling DVD player only has one hdmi output and I require 2. Currently the HDMI output is used for the projector and I use component for my TV. However the player only upscales over hdmi so I need a splitter of some sort.

I was wondering if this would be suitable: http://www.chsinteractive.co.uk/elec...lead-0-20m.htm

I will only have one item on at a time but will this affect the image? I realise it will if both displays are used at the same time.

Re: HDMI splitter

There's a recent thread about the same thing:

Running HDMI to two outputs

I'd be interested to know what the quality is like on one of those cheap splitters, £20 is not cheap enough to try it out if it turns out to be rubbish.

Excellent thread, BTW.

Gefen have an excellent track record in this and I was unwilling to waste my time on cheaper alternatives. I've had the Gefen for several months and it's been absolutely transparent in daily use. No signal degradation at all.

Additionally, high-quality HDMI cables are included with product.
