Oppo OPDV-971H and PAL discs?

Hi,

I recieved this player yesterday and think the picture quality is superb on both PAL and NTSC discs....

The only thing i find slightly annoying with it is, PAL discs with borders on it are uneven.....the top bar is a good deal thicker than the bottom.

Is there any way to remedy this?

Cheers!

Do you have a PX60 by any chance?
I've noticed this problem but to be honest it depends on the disc, some are okay whilst others are really bad.

Dont think there is a remedy.

I experienced this problem with my 42PX60 and Pio 696 via hdmi. Not sure if anything can be done about it.

As bad as that reply sounds, maybe its just Panny's or your Panny.

I had one until recently, it connected by DVI to a hitachi PD7200 and no problems whatsoever.

Panny or unlucky, your choice? Both are bad

Re: Oppo OPDV-971H and PAL discs?

I just bought myself a Oppo OPDV-971H too and see this issue with the vertical borders is one known to many.

Apparently fixed in firmware releases, or due to be fixed...
