What is the best way for me to connect Pionner dv-565a to LCD, SCART OR COMPONENT thanks guys

it's generally superior to Scart, especially on LCDs. You may be stuck with a widescreen-only image though, depending on your TV. You can only use 'progressive scan' via component anyway.

The 565A does not do PAL progressive scan; for the best result you have to buy a PAL progressive player (all new Pioneer, Sony, Denon aso. models).

Bump for a quick question...

Does this mean that I can't play PAL DVDs on my 565A in progressive scan, or would a conversion happen somewhere along the connection that would allow my NTSC compatible LCD TV to display a PAL DVD via progressive scan?

Sorry about the longwinded wording, couldn't think how else to phrase all this.
