Another cry for help - no-snags HDMI player pls!!!

Need a player that has HDMI, works with DVI, has no NDMI Shift (pls pls advise what the hell is HDMI Shift), has component and plays all the usual formats.

I'm willing to pay the earth (not more than 200 quid) but seems that all players have this or that problem. I need urgent help or else.

Exclamation

I've yet to find HDMI "Fully" working with DVI - if your successful let me know!!

My Panasonic HDMI DVD player doesn't send the full 'digital' handshake to my Panasonic DVI PJ other brands didn't work at all !!

Bugger, I need to feed a DVI (with an ancient M1 connector, HDCP compliant claimed) PJ (InFocus 7200) so guess i will have a problem with all brands?

Let me rephrase my questions then: what are the mainstream "snags" of Oppo and Denon1920? They are a bit pricey but i dont need too many features to work.
