Top Tosh news!

This is a repeat fom my other Toshiba/Denon thread, but thought it was worth getting more attention?

This is a post from someone on AVS!

SD-920E
specs:
dvd-audio , sacd , progressive out , 5.1 DD decoder , dts decoder , 3d virtual surround , mp3 , cdr/w , vcd , svcd DVI ! , 3 parallel DAC , RGB in SCART , 6 channel output. Color black 1500 euro
out first or second week of April

SD-520
specs: dvd , dvd-audio , sa-cd , mpr , cdr , cdrw , vcd , svcd , cd-text , black or silver, 499,00 EUR regionfree
out first or second week of April

I heard about these players on a dutch forum and on a site from an audio-shop
www.audiovision.nl/
www.xsorbit3.com/users/J....1010428955

WOW!
DVD-A and SACD (920/520 - Very nice), DVI (920 - Very nice), Prices (Nice), according to other post the 920 also has 14Bit 108Mhz Video DAC (Very nice).

If these specs are correct and knowing Toshiba's usual quality of it's players (I have SD900E) these will definately be great machines, with the 920 a definate contender against Pioneer 747 and even Denon AVC A1 (half its price)!?

Cheers Kane

You naughty boy!! You´ll have it deleted!!!

The Toshiba 920 sounds the business. Makes the Denon look VERY expensive, it´ll be interesting to compare the two just to see if its worth the extra cash for the Denon.

I have a sneaky suspicion it wont be!! going on Toshibas past performance the Denon is going to have to be amazing.

All together now: 'We want PAL progressive! We want PAL progressive'.

Thanks for the information, Kane.

Regards.

Nice idea! I'm now hoping it looks like the SD900E!

I emailed Toshiba UK about this player and got a fast response! Unfortunately, they have never heard of it! Maybe it is a figment of our imaginations? Let's hope not!

Cheers Kane
