Denon DVD 1400 vs Denon DVD 1920

Hi everyone

Im getting my Panny PX60 delivered on Friday
As you can see from my sig I have a Denon DVD 1400 at the moment

What I need to know is:
The 1400 does not output in progressive scan mode as far as I know
Will I see any significant improvements if I sell the 1400 and buy a
1920 using either the HDMI connection or Component connection

or will the PX60 be capable of doing all the progressive scan thang and still
provide me with a great picture

I only have RGB scarts (Thor) at the moment - however if I bought the 1920 I would either get the QED HDMI cable from Peter Tyson (£40 but getting for £30 if bought with the 1920) or component cables from Mark Grant here on the forums once he gets the 75ohm Canare gear back in stock

Any opinions appreciated

I think the 1400 does have progressive scan.
in my opinion, altho not at all an expert, is the the impovement from the 1400 to 1920 will be in fact noticed but noy as much as you would expect...

I have the Denon 1400 and 1920(just sold). I had tried both on an older panasonic plamsa TH42PE30 back to back and the 1920 is much better picture(sharper). I tested via component only.

The 1400 is non-progressive whereas 1920 can output progressive. I would imagine a step up again when using HDMI.
