Philips dvp9000S - can decode DTS?

Hi, I am a new member. I have a question: Does DVP 9000 decode dts signal? Can be transfered to the amplifier without dts circuits by 5.1 analog output or AV receiver should have dts decoding system? Best regards

Yes it can, but you may need to upgrade the firmware. Check out he support pages on the Philips web-site to get the firmware update.

My apologies I was thinking of the 5900, and also completly misread your question.

Looking at the specs

It supports DTS but will not decode it for you, to use DTS with this player you must have an amplifier that will do the DTS decode for you.
