Pioneer DV-525 tray problem

I have a feeling this may be an old chestnut. The tray on my 525 opens and then closes immediately, irrespective of whether I use the remote or the front panel controls. To get around this I have to turn the power off at the appropriate moment to stop the tray moving and then turn the power back on again when the disc is in situ. Not the end of the world but it is a bit of a pain. Does anyone know if this can be fixed reasonably easily? Thanks.
