RGB scart benefical?

I have a Yamada DVD player (bought off Amazon a few years ago) - it is great and all of that - however this model's scart isn't RGB - which is how I currently watch.

I have a 32" Sony TV and wonder whether getting another player with RGB scart would make any noticable different to the PQ.

Thanks.

OPPS - some how this has been duplicated - please remove!

Yes, it would.

Yamada (if you're happy with their products) must do other DVD players with RGB scart outputs on them, look around.

Pioneer do very nice budget dvd players.

Thanks - I really do not know where to start looking for one. Initially, my reason for asking about RGB scart was because of conflicting information - I have been told in the past that because my TV is small, I would not notice any PQ improvement .... and that was by a guy in the Sony shop .... so confusing!

Mate, I noticed the difference on a 14" orion portable, so you will notice a difference!

I am shocked though that he told you this ! He could have made a sale there and then !

Yes an upgrade in the DVD department would make a difference scart RGB output is important. first its composite, then svideo then RGB and finally component and DVI/HDMI. Almost all players now output RGB for reletively little cost.

You could also try getting a Pioneer 575 off ebay if you are familiar with the site. You could bag a bargain! I just bought a Panasonic DMR-E55 off ebay for £83!!

Thanks - looks great, only a shame it is not silver to match all the other equipment! This is a damn minefield!

Is the Pioneer 585 a consideration - being newer...albeit in black?

Read all the reviews of the 575 (loads of great reviews) and the few for the 585 ... think it is between those two ... what would people say between the two please?

Thanks.
