Dv-989 avi a couple of setup questions

Just got my Pioneer Dv-989 avi (off the shelf for £799!)
I am having a problem with the i link being reconized automatically with my Pioneer Ax10is i have to go into the initial settings on the Dv -989 avi everytime I play a Dvd?...the channel input on the ax10i is always set to auto and I have to change this to i link.
Also is there a run in time for the Dv-989 avi both Dvd and Cd audio is not quite as detailed as my old 757 ai?
On the positive side though the quality of picture through component is far superior!

Paul

Hi Paul,

Lots of new DVD players seem to need teething issues sorted out with firmware updates, though you would think that a DV989 and an AX10 would integrate well together.

I'm curious what you mean by your comparison of audio quality - do you mean by analogue, SPDIF or iLink?

Thanks for the sale, by the way!

Nick
