Samsung HD950 help

Hi folks,

I picked this player up today for £90 and thought, i'll give it a swirl. For the moment i'm having serious problems which I think may be linked to my LCD. When I output using HDMI to DVI using the cable, my LCD just shows a light blue screen. Whilst reading my lcd manual I then noticed that my lcd only takes HD via component - however the company website specifies:
DVI : PC or Video / VGA_SXGA - 60Hz_113MHz / HDTV upto 1080i / compatible DDC-2

The thing that worries me, is that the samsung logo comes up fine at first when using the DVI cable, its only when I start playing the film back..

Can anyone shed any light on this? I am prepared to go and buy the component cable as I believe progressive scan can be run through component also...

update: all sorted by using the hack... now i'm down to a few problems with my amp!

P.S The quality in 1080i is AMAZING!
