US DVD Player That Plays PAL

Any US users out there who can advise on a cheap, readily available US DVD player that can play PAL discs (as NTSC) and can be handset hacked to be multi-region? If it's a model I can easily pickup at Wal-Mart so much the better.

I am in the States until Christmas and my laptop is playing up. Thus I am just after a temporary solution until then.
