Question Best DVD player for new samsung slim???

Hi I am having some difficulty in choossing the best DVD player for my new Samsung WS32z308P..
It's Only got component inputs so I don't need any other connections except scart.
All the upscaling down scaling progressive debate has sent my head spinning.
Therefore I would appreciate some plain english advice on the best player to make the most of the Tv.

thanks

Hi chriszzzzzz

I also have the WS32z308P and have the same dilema as u.

Reading the forums, I have decided on getting the Samsung DVD-HD850, based on link below

Samsung DVDHD850 #113

Hoping this HighDef linkup will have good results

Waiting for delivery of DVD, and QED component leads as we speak.

Will let u know how it works out.......................heres hoping

Thanks
I'll wait and see what results you get. I was thinking of the Sammy but only because it was from the same manufacturer and hoped that they would compliment each other, not for any techy reason.
Have you had any problems with the TV? I just had the geometry problem but its OK now I don't sit looking for it. I found some geometry problems on most of the 32 inch sets in the shop if I looked hard enough.

Hi Chriszzzz

Sorry for the delay in reply.
Only got the DVD player this week......

Have to say, well impressed with pic quality of DVD on the SlimTV

Was heck of a difference in pic quality though between using scart and good component leads. Component was well impressive.

Do notice slight geomerty prob with tv, but to be honest it is barely noticable unless you specifically look 4 it
