Panasonic S97 region free hack Anyone know it?

Anyone know it? I have just upgraded the firmware which has erased it

Are you sure? Lots of people have updated the firmware without any such problem.

As far as I know there's not a handset hack for the panny, you need to get a chipped remote. Have a search around the forum and you'll find some links to firms that supply these.

I have installed 2 firmware upgrades to my Panny, including the very latest version and mine is still multi region.

mine too jerkyboy do you watch pal dvd's ? if so can you please check something for me.
i have 540 installed and when i watch a pal dvd the last two inches of picture on the right hand side seems to have dropped by about two pixels can you please confirm wether you have the same probs

This has been mentioned on the US forum. Apparently 540 doesn't like PAL very much:

Hi Guys - where can I get the firmware upgrade for the panasonic s97? Also where did you get your multiregion s97's from? I ask because most that I have seen do not support all regions and RCE.
