as far as i know, reasonbly priced players (say up-to £300) are:
momitsu 880 - heard good comments but think not imported officially to uk
denon 1910 - heard about troubles with them
samsung 945 - heard about some troubles
recently in Rucher Sounds they showed me i think it eas Cambridge Audio but again, i read some thread elsewhere about trouble with them. by the wasy what IF projector do u have? (mine's a ToshMT8/IF7200)
for quite sometime i am looking to buy a DVI player, best site is PriceRunner, however, about a month ago, they removed the "DVI conncetion" filter so it is now impossible to filter out machines that have DVI. Wonder why they did it.
wanted the poineer 575a but i dont think its got DVI connection!
I too returned the CA DVD79 'cause the component pic was pants. Never tried the DVI because didn't want to blow up to 100 quid more on a lead and find there was a problem. Instead I bought the 575 and feed component into the TX100 - the pictures are excellent. I'm not saying DVI won't be better, but I've feeling that whatever DVI machine you buy at the moment there will be a gremlin somewhere.
