Probably not the absolute cheapest, but try Sevenoaks HiFi. Their prices include a 2-year warranty - insurance based, but problems resolved by the shop. They have branches all over and carry stocks of ready-modified players. I don't know who does their mods but my 737 plays all discs including RCE perfectly. And, of course, you can try before you buy. I think, if you press them, they'll do an exchange if, after you get it home, you have a problem.

For Pioneer stuff I always shop at www.upgradehaven.co.uk. They offer very good service and some of their prices are great.

Jon

Iv'e bought the Pioneer 545 from Techtronics fairly recently, no problems so far. £298 all in to my door.

Excellent player, I do have a problem with the RGB output but think that its the TV not the player (at the moment anyway....)

Just seen it a 'leading edge concepts' for £280 including delivery.

That can't be bad.. I have heard that they sell Europe models rather than UK, which normally bothers me.. But in this case, I am not sure if I mind.

Upgrade Heaven are offering a multi region 444 for £200 if you register as a user of the excellent www.thedvdforums.com (look in the bargain forum).

The UH multi region mod is excellent and reliable.

I am looking at the forum that you mentioned and can't find anyhthing about this.. Do you know the title of the thread?

I am looking for a 545 and would like to get it from Upgrade Heaven if their price is right.

But I have seen a few other suppliers offer it for £20 less.

Hi m8

do a search on 444 or 545 and it'll come up. Or do a search on threads started by Justin.

Both the prices are cheaper than on their website I think.

Excellent service from them, i've had 2 pioneers with no probs.

Email me on john_mcwill@hotmail.com if u have any more probs.
