Harmon Kardon 506 Freezes?

HI I have a three month old HK 506 It starting jumping now and then during play back but today when switced it seems fine but then allf unctions freeze on the remote and the set itself .Turned the power on and off at the wall no diffs any ideas?

I would have expected more from a quite pricey dvd player
