Marantz DV4300

I have a Marantz DV4300 outputting sound into a Marantz 5400 Amp via Optical Coax during playback of a DVD Occasionally the sound will miss for a fraction of a second, this is not consistent and maybe only happens about three or four times during an average film, Im Just confused that I may have a setting wrong or Just a problem

Hi There, I have the Marantz 5400 and although I have a toshiba 900 connected via the co axial, I only have a drop out of sound when the dvd changes layer.

Also I think the drop outs only happen when you have the amp set to auto surround, which seems to sense constantly for the digital sound.

Might not be the same with yours, but this is my experience of this amp.

Hope this helps

Cheers
