ok then

has anyone had the laser replaced on a dvp-s735d?

my unit after only 440 hours of playback just spins the disk (either dvd or cd) & displays NO DISK after a while

if buy the replacement laser & run the alignment of SL DVD, DL DVD & CD will I be ok or should I leave it to the "technicians", who by the way left two deep scratches on the tray when I took the unit to be diagnosed

Hi!

I have had the laser replaced once, because of lots of C:13:00 messages.

Now the player is acting up again, and this time I'm going to buy a new player since the cost of a laser replacement (here in Norway anyway) is about the same as a new Sony DVP-NS730.

I have about 290 hours of CD playing, and 850 hours of DVD playing on my unit.
