LG DVD 1010 DVD/VHS Combi.

Can anyone tell me if there is a handset hack for this combo machine to make it multi-region?
If not, can anyone tell me what LG model DVD player makes up this machine, maybe that handset hack would work?

I know someone that owns one of these after buying from Argos, they lent a R1 DVD and cant play it! lol!

Can't guarantee this will work but it works on the LG DVC8700 combi

Power on the player with no disk in the drive
Press "PAUSE" on the remote
Enter "3 1 4 1 5 9" on the remote

Enter "0" on the remote (0 = All Regions, 1 = Region 1, 2 = Region 2, etc.)
Press "PAUSE" on the remote Power the player off and then back on
