What players give: PAL prog scan, SACD and DVD audio out the box

Oh and at a reasonable price too. Say between £250 - £300.

Err, none I think at this price - the 'cheaper' Pioneers do SACD and DVDA but are only NTSC Progressive I think. Will keep checking your post for replies though as I could also do with one!

Hornydragon

Is there much chance that a victor will emerge between SACD and DVD-A in the near future? I don't want to back the wrong horse (of course). But if both are going to be around for the forseeable future then it may make sense to plump for a machine with PAL prog as this will be more beneficial for the majority of movies I watch. I just fancy trying some surround sound music sometime.

I guess though, that within 6 months all players will be multi format disc (Sony apart maybe). The rate things are changing it may make sense to hold on a touch longer.

Cheers

Chris
