Denon 2930 or Samsung BD-P1000

hello can any one help i have got a denon 2930 and very plaese i am too with it, i have being offerd a samsung bd-p1000 for £290 multiregion does any one know if the sound quilty is any better or worse and if the samsung will play my old dvds as good as my denon does i have got a sony 40 inch w series thanks

For DVD the Denon is by far the better machine however £290 for the Sammy makes it a great Blu-ray player.
