Re: Zavvi orders

this will affect several retailers, and has been mentioned on BBC News a fair bit

... also Amazon Marketplace seller "Market_Plus" happens to be Entertainment UK (Woolworths Group) - as I recall from this old post of mine ... www.avforums.com/forums/6066395-post7.html

Exhibit A - where would I find that particular "show"? Would I then be able to put it onto a couple of DVD's, or could I pay you to do that for me?

Re: Zavvi orders

Damn, I ordered a game from them last Tuesday, and still not received it.

Looks like I could be affected too

Just tried calling their customer service number (0203 249 3000) and it rings constantly for 3.5mins, then cuts me off.

I ordered 26/11, they took my money 27/11, and now the game is no longer available.
I will NOT be happy if they have taken my money, before even having stock of the item.

What do I do? Do I start looking for another game, and buy that? When will I get my refund? Will the game still be sent? Will I end up with two if I go and buy another?

Re: Zavvi orders

Just got an email from Zavvi:

Dear zavvi customer,

Due to the current issues with the supply of products from our main supplier
Entertainment UK (part of Woolworths Group plc), we have temporarily suspended
taking online orders for affected products.

In this situation, we are unable to guarantee delivery in time for Christmas
and as a result we are cancelling the order you have recently placed. We feel
this is the fairest course of action for our customers under the circumstances.

You will shortly receive a formal cancellation notice from our systems for
any affected orders. Please be assured that if we have taken payment you will
receive a full refund.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused, and thank you for your
custom. We look forward to serving you again at zavvi.co.uk in the very near
future.

If you would like the most up-to-date information regarding the situation or
would like to contact us please visit zavvi.co.uk and click 'help'. Please
do not reply to this email.

Regards
zavvi Customer Services

Re: Zavvi orders

Sainsburys also used them as their primary supplier so I wonder how things will go for them...

Re: Zavvi orders

Borders might also be affected as they seemed to be linked in some way too.
