pioneer 530 dvr setup but source switching to Tv?

Have it connected to a Tevion tv (scart 2) and sky box running into the dvr and also to the tv (scart 1). Whenever I choose the source; scart 2 and try to use the recorder, it momentarily switches back to the TV source for a second and then back to the recorder. It is slightly annoying to say the least. Is there anyway to make it stay on scart 2? Also the aspect on scart 1 and 2 keeps changing back to 4:3 when I need it to be 16:9 to fill the screen. Any ideas? Thanks.

you will probably have to use the tv out scart from the sky box into the recorder line input , and then up to the tv to cure the widescreen problem ( its a known sky box problem ), and also try turning off scart control on the sky box , and set it to rgb 16:9

and use a fully wired scart lead from the recorder to your av1 scart socket on the tv

now see if any or all of your problems have gone

tried those recommendations (I had the sky scarts the opposite way) but still no change.

I have a scart 'problem' with my sky - if autoview is actioned, it will not 'let go' of it to another device - solution is to press 'power' on remote twice quickly, maybe the problem??

Is it actually necessary to choose the source in the first place?

When you switch the recorder on does it not latch the TV the the relevant input automatically?

No, it doesn't unfortunately. I think the issue is the tv but the options are limited in that regards.
