SONY HXD770 autoswitching problem?

i have got a sony hxd770, which was connected yesterday to a sony dx52 tv via scart (i think it was fully wired) when turning on the dvd the tv does not autoswitch over?

today the dvd recorder is now connected to a sony v4000 37" lcd, this time its now connected via hdmi and still does not autoswitch

anybody got any ideas how to fix this?

Re: SONY HXD770 autoswitching problem?

you dont get an autoswitch from a recorder , you will have to press title list or timer or menu etc , or use the tv remote to select the correct av input

you get auto switchover from players , not recorders

Not strictly true ramjet...the current series of Panasonic DVDRs will autoswitch a TV by scart and HDMI (Panasonic LCD and Plasma models...some other manufacturers don't implement HDMI auto-switching) if the AV1 output is set to RGB1 (from RGB2)

Re: SONY HXD770 autoswitching problem?

Check that the 'Control for HDMI' function is turned on in the HDMI settings [ It should be on by default.]

Check the HDMI settings in your TV menus too.

See the notes in your manual on Page 24 column 2 about Bravia Sync features, and page 74 Column 2 about One-touch play.
