can i convert+r to -r

i have just noticed that some of my old dvds are on the +r format. my pioneer530 will not play these discs,is there any way i can convert them to -r,will my computer rerecord them onto a -r disc?

I have done this a few times on my Apple Mac, without any trouble.

just rip your dvd+r discs to your pc and reburn to dvdr- discs and it should work
