Nintendo DSI SD Memory Card

I've just ordered a Nintendo DSI for each of my sons and would like to know if the DSi comes supplied with a card or will I need to buy one ?

Furthermore, will the DSi run straight out of the box or only once a memory card has been installed ?

Thank You

Re: Nintendo DSI SD Memory Card

Hi jude,

The DSi doesn't come with a SD card in the box, I had to buy one seperately but places like GAME (in store and online) sell these cards. Best thing to do is buy from online stores such as Amazon as they are so much cheaper than in store places such as Currys etc. - I got a 8Gb Sandisk SD card from amazon for £10.. Currys were selling the 4Gb card for around £20 in store

The DSi will run straight out of the box without the need for a card - a card is only really needed if you want to add more capacity for photos or if you're going to download DSiware games etc. You can store a few hundred photos on the DSi system without a card although it goes up to around 3000 if you add a card.

Hope that helps
