DSi - sloping screen issue

I've got an issue with my DSi: the image on the bottom screen appears to slope downwards to the right. I can't work out if the whole screen is crooked, if it's the black border round the edge that isn't even, or if it's my imagination (although some of the people I've shown it to say it slopes too). It's only slight but it's really hard to ignore now I've noticed it. Anyone else had this? Is it just my console or is it a flaw in all of them?

Re: DSi - sloping screen issue

I've only seen the DSi I have and it looks ok to me. Is it to late to exchange it?

Re: DSi - sloping screen issue

I should still be able to send it back to Play - bit of a pain, though.

Re: DSi - sloping screen issue

Well, I've got my replacement DSi from Play (HDN left it in my garden recycling bin! ) and.... the top screen very obviously leans downwards to the left and the rubbery surround on the bottom screen is warped along the top edge so the screen doesn't look rectangular.

I'm very disappointed at the build quality of the DSi, especially given the price.

Re: DSi - sloping screen issue

It's been quite hard to get a good picture, but here's the best one I managed. To me the square on the top screen looks at a different angle to what's on the bottom screen. There's a similar effect in games. (I fixed the problem with the border to the bottom screen, so that's OK now).

Re: DSi - sloping screen issue

It's weird - I showed my previous one to workmates and all but one of them could see the slope on the bottom screen. Would you be able to help me with an experiment - could you post a similar picture of yours and let's see if that looks funny to me?!

Re: DSi - sloping screen issue

Is this one of those “spot the difference” games?

I really cannot see anything out of the ordinary, but there again it is a picture and may be more noticeable in the flesh so too speak.
