I bought the kids' last DS Lite's in America - and aside from having to buy a couple of chargers they have been problem free.

I now want to buy a DSi for one of them - had been looking in the Far East but also off to the USA soon where I can pck one up for £100.

Will the new DSi's work with the "old" DS chargers? and do the 110v ones accept 220v like the older ones?

The new chargers are different from the old ones so will not be able to use the ds lite chargers on the dsi. I cannot say 100% but I would imagine that it would still be 100-220V as this is standard practice for this kind of thing nowadays.

More importantly I would be careful if you buy a dsi from the US because it is my understanding that dsi specific games (and possibly the "enhanced" carts also) will be region locked which will prevent you buying any UK based software that is dsi specific.

I have both USA and UK models and find they both work just the same. Games work in both and my EZ-Flash Vi works in them both too. (The EZ card also works in the DSL)

Yes but DSi specific games will be region coded - DS games are fine.

Thanks for that, not bothered with any DSi specific games as yet; probably will not any way.
