How come there are no longer any flashcarts for sale on ebay?
Is it down to a legal issue or something else?

I would imagine that Ebay have been forced or encouraged to remove them. Although they may not be illegal, 99.9% of them are going to be used for playing ripped off/down loaded games.

I am sorry to say that they are illegal that is why eBay and a lot of UK retailers have stopped selling them. Customs will hold any shipment of these cards that are found.

Actually, they are not illegal (unless you can point me to a court judgement that proves they specifically are).

They are very much considered similar to modchips in consoles....they can be used for legitimate homebrew, but if you choose to download games then that alone is piracy and is entirely on your own head.

Similar to how downloading pirated music is illegal but owning the pc that allows you to choose to do it or not is not.

Besides, this is a Q pertaining to the buying of flashcarts and so discussion should move to the (yes, you guessed it ) "buying flashcarts discussion thread".
